You can't travel in africa without having a brai! Not a bad effort here, steak, rice and beans with a couple of bottles of Windhoek lager to wash it down. |

On our second day we were driving along happily and suddenly came upon a huge male elephant, just seemed to appear from nowhere. Over the next few days we say maybe 40-50, including many calves. This big fellow was feeding alone quite happily as we watched him Suddenly, he turned and began to charge the vehicle. I already had it in reverse, just in case, and for 200m or so he charged and i reversed at speed back down a not too straight road. Though it was only a mock charge, showing us not to get too close, it was still quite an experience. |
